Thank You, Principal Mahoney

After seven years of dedicated, warm and excellent leadership at Centennial Elementary, Principal Colleen Mahoney has announced her retirement at the end of this school year.

“The people of Centennial make it a special community,” said Principal Mahoney. “The staff and students here are so kind and supportive to one another. They show they care every day in many ways. It is no surprise to me or anyone who works here that visitors say they love the culture and community of our little school.”

Principal Mahoney taught for more than 20 years before becoming a principal. Since joining Centennial in 2019, she has been a steady and inspiring presence. Under her leadership, Centennial has celebrated many milestones while fostering an environment where every student feels seen, valued and supported.

In retirement, Principal Mahoney looks forward to traveling, with plans to visit Sweden, Norway and Ireland. She also hopes to learn to play the harp and to volunteer. “Most of all, I will enjoy my time with my husband Tom and our little dog Finn,” she shared.

Please join us in wishing Principal Mahoney the very best as she prepares for a well-deserved retirement and many new adventures ahead.
