Completed week ending Friday, May 7, 2021
- Testing, balancing, and commissioning of HVAC system continued
Planned week ending Friday, May 14, 2021
- Continue to test, balance, and commission the HVAC system
- Install fencing at loading dock and courtyard mechanical equipment
Centennial Elementary
Completed week ending Friday, May 7, 2021
- Contractors continued to address items noted on the IEA Commissioning Log

- IEA Commissioning to continue verifying completed commissioning log items

Sheridan Hills Elementary
Completed week ending Friday, May 7, 2021
- Continued the installation of the controls for the new chiller unit
- Began flushing and filling the chilled water system in preparation of chiller unit startup
- Removed scaffold used for masonry installation at the Kitchen/Receiving addition
Planned week ending Friday, May 14, 2021
- Complete the installation of the controls for the new chiller unit
- Complete chiller unit start-up
Richfield Middle School
Completed week ending Friday, May 7, 2021
- Continued design of the Best Buy Teen Tech Center
- Sheetrock, taping, and mudding continued in the administration reception space
- Wood shop equipment was delivered and placed
Planned week ending Friday, May 14, 2021
- Meeting with Best Buy to review design progress for Teen Tech Center
- One hour power outage for electrical transformer and panel work
- Prep work for dishwasher and boiler room for boiler shutdown
- Finish ceiling grid and pad in administration space
- Install mechanical diffusers, registers, and lights in ceiling of administration space
- Casework installation begins in administration space
- Hydronic piping in lower-level tunnels
Richfield STEM Elementary

- Installed gate and finish fence around the mechanical condensing unit
- Commissioning

- Chiller preparation and start up

Richfield Community Education - Central Education Center
Completed week ending Friday, May 7, 2021
- Continued mechanical and electrical rough-in in the Admin space and Area D Offices
- Continued taping and sanding drywall in the Admin space and Area D Offices
- Continued plaster patching existing plaster walls
- Began tile installation in the Area multi-user Toilet rooms
- Completed the demolition of the existing exterior doors and frame at the new secure vestibule location
Planned week ending Friday, May 14, 2021
- Complete taping and sanding drywall in the Admin space and Area D Offices
- Begin painting walls in the Admin space and Area D Offices
- Continue tile installation in the Area A multi-user Toilet rooms
- Begin aluminum storefront installation at the new secure vestibule entrance
- Complete concrete slab moisture mitigation in the Admin space
- Begin acoustical ceiling grid in Admin space and Area D Offices

The Minnesota Department of Education released the 2023 graduation rates. We are excited to share that we have made consistent gains in many areas and that Richfield High School’s four-year graduation rate (94.1%) exceeds the statewide graduation rate of 83.3% by 10.8 percentage points.

On February 29, something special is taking place at Richfield High School. Students from schools across the district are coming together for a shared Choir concert. The RPS Choral Festival will take place at 7 p.m. in the RHS Auditorium and is free and open to the public.
